There are a myriad of ways that your ships can be used, and you are free to use the ships and equipment in your own manner. This guide is more so a compilation of community ideas discussed on the ΔV Discord (link to the thread, if it doesn't work, you may need to be a part of the Discord first, which you can go here to join) and Steam Community Page (link to the post). Feel free to put your own suggestions for it in the thread, just make sure to read the top message to know what is wanted to be shown here.

Presume that any equipment slots not filled or mentioned are good for stock equipment, or work with equipment of your choosing. If multiple slots can hold an equipment piece, and no positioning is mentioned, it can go in any of the slots at the user's transgression. Most of the descriptions come unabridged directly from their author if they provided ones, anything edited will be noted as such.

This guide will contain unmarked spoilers for the ease of display, you have been warned.

K37 TNTRL

Mining Setup 1 - suggested by Gecko on the Discord

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
High-stress hardpoint AR-1500 manipulator
Low-stress hardpoints Mining laser, Cargo Container
MPU Nakamura MPU

Great for both early(ish) and late game, as you can easily fill up a THICC with minerals in a short time, with the manipulator to make things easier. manipulator also helps massively if you find a uranium cave, and can also tow derelicts. the cradle for the THICC can also be used to grab additional lifepods or claim other THICCs

Combat Setup 1 - suggested by Gecko on the Discord

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
High-stress hardpoint Point Defense Microwave Generator low water resonance
Low-stress hardpoints SPC Gungnir, either external impact absorber or B8 claim beacon

(for the low-stress hardpoints) respectively, these offer energy weapon shielding (i.e. anything that isn't a hypervelocity impact like a mass driver) and increased encounter frequency. the SPC Gungnir is self explanatory, and the microwave point defense disables just about anything you set as hostile so they don't even have an opportunity to shoot back. the base K37 can hold up to 4 lifepods in its cargo bay if you're smart about it, allowing for very effective use of the recovery rewards and bounties on the lifepods

Cothon-211 "Chonker"

Cothon-213 "Triplet"

Cothon-217 "Bender"

OCP-209

OCP 'Roid Eater Build - suggested by Starext on the Discord

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
High-stress hardpoints 2 AR-1500 manipulators
Low-stress hardpoints OME maintenance drones, Tetsuo HMX-2000l Tetsuo tuned to max thrust
RCS Thrusters ERS-NAGHET 5020s Tuned to max thrust
Main Torch ERS-DFMHD-2205
MPU Rusatom-Antonoff MPU Processing speed tuned to 16 kg/s
APU NDAPS
Remass tank 200 000 kg
Kinetic and Nanodrone storages both at 5 000 kg
Ultracapacitor Dual ultracapacitors
Turbine Dual turbine
Reactor core SSR16
Autopilot NDCI Autopilot velocity set to 100 m/s, Xenon usage set to 0%
Recon Drone USV-D Microseismic
LIDAR Runasimi High-resolution LIDAR

Playstyle entails using recon drone to check asteroid composition and breaking it up with the Tetsuo if necessary, then engulfing the whole thing and letting the excavator/cargo bay do the rest of the work, and also just making money off any events/derelicts that spawn since it's a OCP (and can hold a lot of raw cargo)

Antonoff-Titan K225

Passive Mining Titan - suggested by obliviondoll from the Steam Community

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
Both front low-stress hardpoints Point Defense Microwave Generators Wattage in the 60MW range, water resonance at 70%
Docking bays 4 Cargo Containers, 2 Haul Drones Haul drones: slightly smaller buffer and deceleration ranges
RCS Thrusters MA350HO[ Downtune thrust slightly to reduce wear
Main Torches K44 Torch Downtune thrust slightly to reduce wear
Nanodrone storage Military storage
MPU Voyager RSLS
Autopilot Autopilot velocity set to 45 m/s, rotational velocity set to 100 deg/s, and rotation priority set to 80%

The goal here is just to passively drift at lower speeds through the shallows of the rings, chewing on rocks that my drones deliver into the ship's mouth, and turning them into more drones to help feed more rocks into the ship. It's very much a ship to launch into space then chill out and relax until madness ensues, then run away before the chaos hits me. I quite like it, and often just passively semi-AFK my way through an hour or two of mining while also doing work or chatting with friends and just keeping an eye (and ear) out for something interesting happening in space.

Elon Interstellar Model E

ND-LIS Kitsune

Kitsune with Brakes (Kzintune) - suggested by obliviondoll from the Steam Community

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
Spinal hardpoint Kzinti Lesson Mk. II Thrust to 1001 kN to reduce wear
RCS Thrusters ERS NAGHET 5020s
Remass tank Standard fuel tank
MPU Rusatom-Antonoff MPU Processing speed of 30 kg/s
Autopilot ER-42 Autopilot Autopilot velocity set to 100 m/s, angular velocity set to maximum, lowered drift tolerance, rotation priority set to 20%

This was my first attempt at a racing ship, and it's done a good job of both racing and being a fun ship to hop between the habitats in. I'll go somewhere, check if they want the rocks they have around them, and process moderate amounts of whatever they want if it's available nearby. It's not efficient at processing the ore, obviously, but it does enough for those runs where I can't get a race, or where the drone breaks early or something. If I still want to derp about in a joyride ship, I can make a little bit of profit from Obonto while I'm doing so. While it can accelerate fast enough normally, and stupidly fast in reverse, it can't use the truly crazy amount of thrust in the right direction while aligned to the racing drone, so it's a bit limited in how effective that burst of speed is for the original purpose of being a racing ship. Still nice to have, but not for the reasons I'd been hoping when I built it (didn't really know what I was getting into lol). When slowing after having caught the drone, it's very helpful to be able to near-instantly reset to a neutral posture ready for a rematch. It can also be nice for catching yourself right before running into a rock while chasing down that sweet shiny blue stuff! Added bonus that it burns the rock away as you brake, for potentially another nice chunk of W or something to follow the Be down. Definitely not a ship I'd recommend for practical use as a mining vessel, but it's enjoyable to fly and surprisingly good at putting a Bald Eagle through its paces.

Experimental Kitsune - suggested by obliviondoll from the Steam Community

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
Spinal hardpoint NDPT Railgun
RCS Thrusters ERS NAGHET 5020s
MPU Rusatom-Antonoff MPU
Autopilot NDCI Autopilot

The idea here is to be even lighter than the Kzintsune, but with a gun instead of an oversized "stop on a dime" button. Haven't flown it yet, but planning to see how it races, and how it handles mining. If it works, I might replace one of my existing loadouts with a duplicate of this instead. Possibly both, but I do like the ridiculousness of having a thruster that almost doubles the length of my ship, so probably not.

Bald Eagle

Mining/racing Hybrid Eagle - suggested by obliviondoll from the Steam Community

Equipment and tunings
Equipment Slot Equipment Used Tunings (if any)
RCS Thruster K44 RCS
Ultracapacitor Single
Turbine Single
AUX unit Big Furnace Generator
MPU Rusatom-Antonoff MPU
HUD OCP

Yeah, I got hold of this thing out of curiosity. If it weren't for the excellent (and impossible to reproduce) tuning on the autopilot I'd consider this (slightly) inferior to my Kitsune for racing, but with that one small but spoilertastic advantage, it's about on par with it. That said, my "downgrades" in a lot of areas seem to have improved the ship's performance as a racing ship by a significant margin, and without those, even its spoilerish benefit wouldn't help it to catch up. I've made it lighter while adding thrust, which gives it even more extreme acceleration. The higher fuel cost of the thrusters is offset by the generator, then negated the rest of the way by the MPU, which I've tuned similarly to the Kitsune, for a focus on fuel recovery.
