In order to fire Mass Drivers, kinetic ammunition must be carried on the ship. When launching for a dive, ammunition can be bought in batches of 1000kg for an average cost of 250 E$, though this price will fluctuate with the market.
To store ammunition, a projectile magazine must be installed on the ship. Each magazine has two stats a captain needs to consider: Storage and Delivery. Storage refers to how many kilograms of ammunition a ship is able to carry. Delivery is how many kilograms per second the storage system can supply to weapons; if the combined ammunition usage of all mass drivers on the ship exceeds this, their rate of fire will be limited to the delivery speed.
If no mass driver is installed, sealing the magazine is recommended due to the redundant weight of bringing ammo that cannot be used.
Name | Price (E$) | Storage (kg) | Delivery (kg/s) |
---|---|---|---|
Projectile magazine | 5,000 | 1,000 | 100 |
Dual projectile magazine | 10,000 | 2,000 | 200 |
Heavy projectile magazine | 25,000 | 5,000 | 200 |
Military projectile magazine | 50,000 | 10,000 | 200 |
Frigate-class projectile magazine | 100,000 | 20,000 | 500 |
Destroyer-class projectile magazine | 250,000 | 50,000 | 500 |
Note that Frigate & Destroyer-class magazines can only be installed on large ships, such as the Antonoff-Titan K225 and OCP-209.
