The THI Monocargo Container is a device attachable to low-stress hardpoints and docking bays that can contain up to 90 tonnes of a specific ore, at the discretion of the geologist menu. For the sister container that can hold 15 tonnes of each mineral, see THI Cargo Container.

Description

A single-ore variant of the standard THI Cargo Container for specialized mining runs that focus on the collection of only one mineral type. These require on-site mineral processing units to utilize. The equipment purchase of the cargo cradle comes with a lease covering the resupply of new pods for as long as the owner holds the license. Station control warns that retrofit with certain RCS configurations may risk overheating the Cargo Container's micro-reactor. Captains assume all such liability.

Usage

An example of how the ore is displayed while using multiple THICCs and THIMCs . Note how the vanadium storage is full and the internal storage has been filled past the 500 kg buffer

THI Monocargo Containers (or THIMCs for short) are external solutions to the processed cargo hold. Each one provides an additional 90 tonnes (90,000 kg) of a specific mineral to hold, and like THICCs, requiring an MPU before it can be used effectively. THIMCs will prioritize the first mineral enabled in the geologist menu that has greater than the 500kg buffer in the internal storage to be put within it.

The display for the processed ore hold uses an A + B display, where A is the total amount of ore stored through all THICCs on the ship, and B is the internal storage.

The THIMC can be released at any point, providing options to return to Enceladus, hold it's position (stay still), keep formation (keep velocity with the ship), or to return to the cradle. Once the THIMC is free of the cradle, it can be reactivated and used to hold other small drones.
