There are various terms used by many inhabitants of the ring, from general terms for fellow ringalowda to niche nicknames for equipment.
This page hopes to be an addendum to aide with those not so familiar with these terms.
- Ringalowda - A colloquial term used to refer to any diving crews and inhabitants of Saturn's rings, not intended to be offensive.
- Ringa - Shorthand slang for Ringalowda, singular.
- MWG - Shorthand for Microwave Generator.
- PDMWG - Shorthand for Point Defense Microwave Generator.
- Strip Mining - Term used for a more hands-off form of mining, generally using equipment to do most of the hauling of equipment (Haul drones and/or manipilator arms) while drifting through the rings using either PDMWGs or high power lasers to pull the dirty work. Much of the time the ship is left drifting for the equipment to do all the work.
- D20 - Term generally used for the Singularity Core due to it's icosohedral shape, but could technically refer to any other similarly-shaped object.
- G4A / GA - Shorthand for Ganymede for (4) Anarchy, or just Ganymedian Anarchy. Synonymous with the pirates.
- FRAGILE(s) - Term used for the EI AGILE thrusters referencing how susceptible to damage they are.
