Electrical power
Ships electrical power is provided by the on-board power plant - usually a turbine or and magnetoplasmadynamic generator. The power plant supplies all the on-board systems with power required for operation. Peak usage is handled by ultracapacitor array.
Both methods rely on availability of heat produced by reactor and might fail due to overcooling.
